Step 1: Hire a Thug I know you're thinking,
"Is this really a different method? Wont I just be flying moth after moth to the hangar I want to blockade?"Well yes, but that would still be expensive! I'm saving you 5k or 6k in thug hire fees the least you can do is trust me! Hmm shouldn't those be famous last words?
Step 2: If you didn't. . . you should have bought a Moon Moth to taxi your little thug with.
Hold up I thought you said this was a cheap method! It is, it is those taxi fees would have added up.
. . .Step 3: Now that the expensive stuff is over. . . ! ! ! Relax it is. Fly your thug to a Moth Factory. Either Bargain Moths or Downtown Motors, or Highrise
<!--- . . .
Step 4: Tell your thug to get out. Odds are despite using this method you didn't know that little thug can be a great meat shield, i.e. passenger, you should play with the TI more, there are interesting tricks to be found.
Step 5: Order the thug to board. Wait! I could have skipped step 4, I just told it to get out... I was the passenger! *Cough* Tell the thug to board bay 1. . .
Nothing Happened or it refused!!!Okay time to be serious: Yep that
IS rare.
Here my memory is a little fuzzy, it seems like the thug will ignore or refuse the TI command to board a moth that the player does not own, with the exception of a Swallow, which players can also steal, I believe that is fixed in some Enhanced versions, but I'm not 100% sure.
I'll just create a post and link it here:
hardwar.proboards.com/thread/723/ti-commands-revisitedStep 6: Syntax is actually important! Maybe.
exec topdog, board 1 Notice that you do not type order
topdog,board,1 there is a SPACE not a comma there.
Step 7: Have that Moth Thief park that stolen ride in the embargoed hangar! Woot! I can steal moths! No you can not, not truely anyway.
What??? But my thug just did! Yes, but you, the player can not board it, hence you can not equip it, hence it only has a laser, which may be okay for a thug to make a kamikaze run.
Windows 7: Speed and Greed, the Future is! Really want to remove that yodal reference now that yogi is all the rage. Heh.
I said you could not steal it, you can still buy it though.
WHYYYY!!! Would you recommend THAT!!! I feel a new patch will be coming before any more online games are hosted... I really think so. Sorry AI.
Maybe you'll quit lurking so much. I'll make a further quote block below to explain that as a reward to anyone that bothers reading through all of my humorous drivel.
Step 8: Pick up your thug, rinse and repeat. To save time, order that thug into the passenger seat, after all players don't worry about speeding tickets.
Step 9: exec topdog, boardpass # replace # with the bay, if you are not sure of your bay type
bay into the TI.
Step 10: exec topdog, out Remember! That the only way to get a cat... thug out of the passenger seat of a Moon Moth is an
executive order.
order topdog, out will not work, actually I don't think out even works with the order chain, otherwise disembark would not exist, imo.
order topdog, disembarkSide note: Make sure at least one or two of the stolen moths are from the Downtown Motors or Highrise ?automotive? (That can't be right? Right?) Wherever you plan to focus on to get the Swallow after all if their stock isn't moving they wont make/release anything new.
Step 11: Wall flower, your thugs future job After borrowing the 6th moth have you thug fly to a building near building to embargo. You could also have the thug buzz the building, it can be a pain though,
order topdog, buzz, shears yard IF you take that approach, you have to CLEAR the thugs plans list, before giving a new command, I believe the thug will maintain course heading and speed when plans are cleared so... I won't recommend it.
IF you insist though, make sure to send an order to stop after using the clear command:
order topdog, clearSTOP: In of the TI.txt files I have it metions stop, however I don't think I have tried it, or it did not work, so what you want to do is:
order topdog,thrust,0 Is what I think it is... but you should test it on yourself before trying it on a thug. Since stop might be -16384 The nice little number that makes good days or bad days in Hardwar. Particularly when you have loans out till you reach -16384 -x = positive happy numbers, Negative withdraw. Super unrealistic and unlikely to happen btw, as far as I know I'm the only to have such strange luck.
- THRUST: Sets the thrust of your moth, by a specific value, full speed ahead, or no thrust (beta 3+). Usage: THRUST [value (-16384 to 16384) or MAX or STOP].
Step 12: Supply the hangar, park the thug, have fun, occasionally remember to ask your thug,
exec topdog,goods
