Continuing with nostalgic posts, do you remember your first hangar. I remember mine: 008 Downtown. The patches have replaced it with Shear's Yard.
At the time I was always playing as a bounty hunter, so I was wanting a place near a police station where I could load my pilot menu with criminals. I hadn't figured out the naming scheme yet or the fact that pirates are the only AI that use medium pods.
Once I discovered that you could make money offering repairs I tried to get the most centrally located hangar in Downtown and have used Downtown 05 ever since - along with a lot of other players, I'm sure.
I also like having the Derelict Warehouse in Riverside. It's a real moneymaker as there is no Breaker Maker in Riverside.

Umm... can't remember which was exactly my first hanger's name... I remember it was in Riverside, one of those ground level airlocks ones near the Waterfront...
Oh! and once I owned Derelict warehouse (in my mind I remember it like derelict factory...) I never abandoned it, it has been my home historically... leave Downtown to the worker class, we, the aristocracy like to live in Riverside ;D

I've found that Riverside and Downtown are about the only profitable places to have a hangar. I sometimes get one in The Mines.
Does anything ever happen in Highrise? I see a few traders passing through in the logs, but never in the game. I only manage to get there if I'm trying to wipe out the Laz faction.

My first hangar was also in Riverside, behind Titan University. Shortly after, I bought the Abandoned wherehouse and it was there I discovered the joys of repairing AI moths ;D. As I grew more accustomed to the moths, I found the financial appeal to selling things, so I opened a hangar in Gamma. The rest is just more money. Forget Speed, I'll just stay home and be greedy

I can't remember whether my first hangar was Downtown 05 or Vacant 0022. I know that I had to get a loan from MisOp Finance just to afford it, I didn't discover how to make money for quite a while.
I do remember during my first End Game event flying Syd's Moth to Downtown 05 to escape all the people targeting me... I made a fortune with every flyer on Titan surrounding my hangar. And since I had also discovered trade one joystick button (out of two) to be God Hangar I also had a nice indestructible moth so I teleported back to Syd's Hangar got my moth and launched knowing if they where still after me they couldn't touch me, and they weren't they all gathered around my hangar crashing bumping shields grinding against each other and the terrain moths landing for repairs, me helping them a little... I made a fortune doing that. Latter I landed teleported to Mines and launched the moth, I had that moth armed to the teeth, I couldn't land at the Abandoned Terminal and got a little worried about all the targeting moths, so I landed in Mass Driver 1 and teleported back to my Downtown 05 to pick up my invincible Neo Tiger, and headed toward mines, on arriving I'd see moths enter and blow up, I didn't know the trick to pick up infinite scrap metal at that time, It'd been hard to just pick it up with all the other loot laying about. After a general bull rush of moths it slowed to a trickle of moths entering one or two occasionally 3 just to blow up while I laughed, I'd shoot a pirate a couple of times to get the bounty. ^^ I must have been greedy I don't think I ever escaped Titan on that profile.
