Once again, another free update for nms this time called the desolation update that adds procedurally generated abandoned freighters with biological hazards and artifacts to explore.

I have been playing No Man's Sky for a while now with 3 friends and I must say it's quite an interesting game. it had plenty of flaws when it came out, in fact the developers have lied much about the content that was there but all these free updates are making the game more enjoyable and more and more to the vision they had when it first came out. It's hard comparing No man's sky to either Elite: Dangerous or the X series. Those games have so much depth that me ( A casual player ) was not able to invest in it long enough to fully enjoy and appreciate it. No man's sky is a game that is easy to get into and plays very well with friends in my opinion. If people want to dive into futuristic space games with exploration at the top No man's sky is a good game to get into. People who enjoy this genre and want to get in depth with these type of games should then try and play the X games, Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen in my opinion. For more casual games I would say Hardwar of course and Freelancer, although Hardwar has it's own type of Depth and playstyle that I have yet to find in ANY game so far...

Might have to give it another run then. Last time I played I had noticed that they fixed some of the random generation logic with the ships.

No man's sky has just had a major update called outlaws update, it adds pirates to the game and you can also become one yourself and smuggle as well.Sentinels can be captured and reprogrammed to defend your bases and colonies too. You can form squadrons now with your starships.

I can't endorse this game anymore because the game programmers deliberately kicked me out of their game for nothing and reset my computer after me being a supporter of their game for nearly 10 years.

So what did you do to get kicked?
The newest update any good? I think the last time I played was after the freighters or anomaly station was interduced.

I didn't do anything to get kicked, they just wanted me to see their almighty power in their little nearly infinite universe.
The latest version gives a community goal to regenerate a neglected sector (sound familiar?) and apparently derelict stations that can be boarded and looted. You can do a mission to earn a high powered exocraft and have a robotic companion.
There's loads of new content in the new update, mostly next gen vr support, you need to check it out yourself.
