I'm beginning to believe that one moth without shields is about as tough as another. It seems that I spend as many laser hits to drop a Hawk as a Neo-Tiger. I tested this and it came out pretty even.
According to the game and SR, the moths have different unshielded hull strengths according to the following list from toughest to weakest:
Swallow Death's Head Police L-2000 Hawk Neo-Tiger Moon Moth Silver-Y
The problem I have is that I can't exactly tell when their shields are at zero. This makes accurate experiments difficult. Has anyone else noticed this? Do any of you hackers out there have the numbers on hull strengths?

You know, wouldn't it be great if some extremely awsome person (almost godlike even) would of made a program that would list and allow you to edit various things in the game like a moths hull hit points? Oh! Or how about even giving the ability for people to easily develop and test thier own edits to the game! And wouldn't it be cool if after you made your edits you could easily choose from your different edits and distribute changes to share with others and add thiers to your selection of edits as well? Yeah that would be cool... Oh wait a minuate! hardwar.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gamemodification&action=display&thread=43So is this your way of telling me you don't love me anymore zedo? I feel so neglected... lol

@ OUCH: Sorry for not recalling and using your utility. You've had a similar utility out before the patch if I remember correctly. I know you had one that listed and made available all of the trade items on Titan. Anyway, I've used the editor and I'm still not conviced that there's much of a difference between hull strengths based on the fact that they all go down within 16 laser shots after shields are dropped.

16... Oh my... 16 + whatever a shield takes, times... more moths than I can remember... = Hmmm... good thing lasers don't melt down... or cost cash to fire...

16... Oh my... 16 + whatever a shield takes, times... more moths than I can remember... = Hmmm... good thing lasers don't melt down... or cost cash to fire... I'm referring to the number of hits after the shields are down. I start counting once I notice the shields are down. I've done it so much I can count it in my mind. Tat-tat-tat-tat. Four groups of four.
