Most of what you need to change is in the hardwarw.exe file. You can view this file with a hex editor. The problem is that the bytes used in the translation must be equal to or less than what it translates... So yeah... Good luck with that... You might want to look at the French version, maybe that one offers more byte space in the strings. Also, The US version supports ANSI characters only I believe. Or You can use my editor to easily make translated item descriptions and names, But the byte and ANSI limits still apply.

Ok Thanks bur i read in Wikipedia: In February 2007, after all possibilities to release the code were exhausted, a project was started to make an open source version of the game. Exist this project? Regards! EDIT: Ok I see xD THen Hardwar dont work with external files for the Text Strings.. all in the hardwarw.exe :S dont like this... Thanks a lot!

Memories... I remember being dead clueless first time I played the game as I didn't understand more than 9 words in English. If anybody has the intention of making a Spanish translation of the game let me know

Hi all from Spain! I want to make a Spanish Translation of this great game... but i have some questions: What files i need modify? How Can i Open those files? Regards! _-Caleb-_ Hello Caleb, Go to Hardwar in French thread page 6, You'll find my spreadsheet. It contains all the strings extracted by Duncan and the Fr translation. You just have to translate the original strings to Spanish instead of FR. 1. You can't use more chars than allowed by the column "Max chaclen" 2. The column "Test string Length" will display "Over" if the translation is too large 3. The number of characters of your translation is displayed in "FR size" column that you should rename and your spreadsheet too To translate faster : 1. Copy/Past in Google Translate it is the faster way. Or you can extract all the strings from your Original Spanish CD using Duncan extracting code into Python's IDLE. It can be useful when you're not sure of the meaning or to find a message title that fit with the few chars available. But it is some more work and the original translation is nat always wonderful !!! For the extraction of spanish CD everything is explained page 5. Page 6 you got my code, that contains spécials char and accents for FR language. Just add elif's lines for the specific characters of your own language. Exemple in FR : à â ë é è ê ï î ô û ù ç. 2. Sort all the lines from my spreadsheet by "String" so you can modify all redundancies in less operations. @+
