I think its generally believed that pilots sitting in moth factories tends to be related to the game slowing down with less flyers out and about. So why dont we have MSGC supply the moth factories so we dont have to.
Also, is there no way to control what moths the police will buy? Why cant we cheat and use MSGC to teleport dead police to God Hangar, blag a police moth, supply some ordinance and order him to fit them and leave?
I feel like there needs to be an option for the game to run itself without player interaction.

I feel like there needs to be an option for the game to run itself without player interaction. Good questions! 1. I think I suggested that before, I have even suggested making a series of a flyers who the game AI will not be able to harm, yes it is possible and no the story line is not needed. But, it will not stop human players, maybe the Ghost can be programmed to destroy ALL of their property if they do destroy one? 2. MSGC is programed so that Police HAVE to buy their moth (Random choice or whatever is there? I've seen them in Silver-Ys... Heh, I've even stolen Silver-Y from Bargain Moths and sent them there.) at least they tax a taxi to Alpha from their spawn point where they would have spawned in a police moth with some equipment. 3. This would make long-term games more interesting. Denacity How are you at scripting? If you had a dedicated client you could try my idea. ^^

Well, the way i see it, if traders and pirates spawn automatically with a moth, then why cant the police?
We already have the taxis respawning with the right moth, right? So should the police.
I wish the police were more proactive like in the single player...

Wasn't the idea to put the world in movement? The police spawning without moths and moving their asses to dt moths to get one, injecting money in the factory so it keeps buying resources and therefore activating the rest of the activity? Avoiding the cheating from the ai spawning with all done for them...

Money isnt the problem, the game wont supply the resources to itself that it needs, even if they have the money to buy them

Teeth has a point, nothing in the game's code is designed to accommodate large scale trade operations at moth factories, the game was designed around the player, yes single emphasis, since dedicated servers were not thought of till after release (Anyone know the version?), and if the player does not supply the factories then only the normal (small) amount of moths for the player are introduced, also thankfully AI tend to stock downtown moths more since it is the main trading hub, maybe the tunnel was originally removed so that Highrise got more traffic? If it did players would have a lot of trouble retrieving a new moth.
I have said this before; having the code to make police buy their moths and equipment is a bad idea. Think of it this way, (no offense intended) having the police buy their equipment is like the Russian strategy to retake Stalengrad in World War 2, the first wave has the gun, the replacement waves have the ammunition.
I also just thought of another thing; not only does players, traders, scavengers, and pirates spawn with 10,000 credits so do police, enforcers, and factions. So how do the police get moths in the first place?
My theory, (That's right while writing a seemly picture painting rant I made up this theory.) is that they buy whatever moth spawns in bay three (Police moths spawn there?) And now with basic and often inferior equipment fitted they leave to do their police duties, with a cash balance of . (drum) . (roll) .
-4000 up depending on which moth they fly away with, however this is assuming that the AI do not buy it and the moth factory get a negative sum, either way it is counter productive since police rarely survive an encounter with out the equipment or another police unit joining them.
No players, we DO NOT get negatives when you try to buy something out of our price range. . . players = American citizens. . . AI = American government. . . Sorry my bad just struck me funny is all.
Requires more investigations jumped in Hammer's to do so and have not seen a soul even after an hour.

Well, if the police are really the key to keeping the game populated with AI, then they really need t spawn in police moths automatically with decent equipment, and not sit in moth factories waiting for players to supply them.
Even if the moth factories dont get automatically supplied, it would at least stop the huge drain in resources, andwould make it easier for players to get moths.
Both factories need supplied, and i want to buy a few speific moths, but i dont really feel like doing it with all the police that are going to snatch them all up...

Police only seem to buy from the 3 and fourth bay, two Police and two moths were in Downtown Moths last night.

why not have it to where the buildings supply the moths without loseing resources or money? that way they supply everyone.
and just increase the amount a player has to buy to retrieve it.
but then there is still the problem of the police being outmatched against the pirates because of the lack of missiles and LT
