Somebody knows how to get rid of all audio from hardwar? The sound option tab in the launchers does nothing, I want to get rid of everything... yes, I know turning the speakers off... but I can't... I'm attempting to play while here at the office ;D Seriously! And my pc is the designed mp3 station... by my own will, but the hassle of moving 150 gig of music mp3 around is one I don't want.
Any suggestions are welcome!

If you're on win7, you can just click the sound icon in the bottom right, then the mixer, then you can adjust application specific audio volumes.

Sadly I'm stuck with xp... --------------- I just extracted the res files, now I'm 10% done wiping the sound of each wav file, not the best solution for people lazy like me but I'm bored to death...

You can plug in a pair of headphones and jam them into a drawer.

or you can go into the control panel and turn the audio icon on... What do you mean by control panel? I've already wiped out every single audio file and repacked them into the res, it works great.

OUCH means Windows' Control Panel. Do you have any way to Mute your audio. Do you have an icon of a speaker in your desktop's system tray at the bottom right?

;D Oh I see, but doing so will mute the mp3 playing too. As it is now, my pc plays mp3's during all day long and I can play hardwar wherever I want without having to disrupt the music... or give uncomfortable explanations about those weird sounds in the back of any song... ;D .... or keep my best poker face while my boss (company owner to be exact) check his company cell phone after hearing the "message received" sound and wondering why he hasn't any new text message (his cell phone has the "message received" ringtone )... ------------------------ To those with a low moral code envying me, please don't. The abuse the company suffers is directly proportional to the abuse the company execute over the employees. To those judging the morality of this, come here live a year in my country, work under our standards and then perhaps we can talk about the morality....

Which country again? It has to be interesting, after all your a by product of it. Whatever country your born, raised, or spend time in, really does shape the way you think and see things since it also shape(s,d) the people your around too.
