Hi,
I'm having a bit of a problem getting my Saitek Evo Wireless stick to work correctly with Hardwar.
The x and y axis respond as either on or off so flying the moth is really difficult. The slightest nudge in any directions sends the ship full pelt in that direction. There seems to be no analogue response on these axes.
The throttle works as it should though - a nice graded curve.
The joystick is calibrated correctly and the buttons respond as they should.
I'm running windows 7 and UIM06.
Any ideas here?
Thanks Steve

I have heard of this problem with another game. The solution was running a software that converted the stick's signals. I'm assuming that your Saitek software does not have such an option in their stick setup interface.
I'll poke around and look for the converter. This is the first time I've heard of this effecting Hardwar, so you may be on the tip of a wave.

Cheers, much appreciated. I'll have a look around for a convertor myself and post back if I find a solution.

I remember when I had this problem. It was when I changed over to an USB stick. The USB stick was digital and my old sticks were SCSI analog. The stick came with the conversion software and it worked. I doubt it's still available today.
There has to be some sort of converter or solution, though. I would have thought that Windows would have taken care of this itself.

Well, I discovered a roundabout solution. I downloaded Mad Catz stick programming software and set it so the x and y axes on the stick controlled the x and y mouse axes and then set up all the joystick buttons to correspond to Hardwar keyboard commands. Then set Hardwar to mouse control. It controls a lot smoother now but it's still not perfect, plus the joystick throttle and twist action are now useless. On the plus side this set up lets me switch seamlessly between mouse and joystick control in game which is good. I'm using the mouse for general flying about/trading and the joystick for combat. Still would like a solution that just fixes the joystick functionality though .
