I suffered through a severe hail storm in April and it dented my car with these funny little dents. Broke my windshield, too.
I've got to get a new roof on my house because of that storm. One contractor wanted to put on a 30 year roof. I told him another of these storms will come by in 2 years. Would he still stand behind his 30 year roof? He declined.
I'd recommend everyone get ready for much harsher weather all around.

Getting a steel shingle plate roof next time Z? Metal roofs are regaining popularity around here. My house originally had a tin roof on it that lasted some 20 years. That's better than the real performance of asphalt shingles - and no oil is used in making the metal roof. I'm considering one, but haven't had a quote on the cost yet. For the car, I usually throw quilts and blankets over it to prevent hail damage. It does a good job, but I'd really like a garage or car port.
