Hey, has anyone ever played that Portal game? I see there is a Portal 2 out. Something about making portals with a gun and jumping through them to solve puzzles? I think it sounds like that Buggs Bunny cartoon where the guy made a caulk gun that squirts out holes. Hammer

Got portal 2 last week, didn't played the first one, but this one seems to be an amazing game, got to play like 20 minutes before triggering motion sickness But its actually a good thing, it means i can work it out with cautious timing

I played about half of the first one. It's alot of fun and the later puzzles really make you think. The game introduces new concepts like gravity manipulation and multiple portals (timing portal creation so jumps get higher by making your "falls" longer etc...) at a pretty good pace so you learn as you go.
It's also very family friendly if you don't mind being told what to do by a sweetly sadistic mother computer who treats you as a guinny pig the whole game.

It definitely looks cool, but I got Killzone 3 instead... Waiting on Skyrim (sequel to Oblivion)

Skyrim huh I think they even mentioned that realm in Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.
I was SOOOooooo bored one I translated the front cover of Oblivion by the process of elimination from the bonus map from E.S.3:M hahahahaha... Also there is no Y in in that "Alphabet."
Another thing is that an area in Morrowind that has the goddess or whatever that is tied into the story, she has that line.
"for lord dagon reborn in fire from the waters of oblivion" (Repeated all the way around.)
In case no one has noticed, the oddest of things catch my attention.

Hey, it says you have to install STEAM on your computer to play Portal. What's STEAM and do I want to install it just to play Portal? Hammer

Steam is the service that Valve uses for their games, and a huge assortment of other games. I use Steam a lot, and I can vouch for it's usefulness. Steam automatically updates games, shows servers, friends, ect. Some people seem to be not very fond of it, for reasons I never did understand. I guess it's a personal thing, try it and see if you like it. Portal was tons of fun for the first run through. Unfortunately, the second time through is not nearly as much fun, because you know exactly how to solve each puzzle and the plot

Steam is the service that Valve uses for their games, and a huge assortment of other games. 1. I use Steam a lot, and I can vouch for it's usefulness. Steam automatically updates games, shows servers, friends, ect. Some people seem to be not very fond of it, for reasons I never did understand. I guess it's a personal thing, try it and see if you like it. 2. Portal was tons of fun for the first run through. Unfortunately, the second time through is not nearly as much fun, because you know exactly how to solve each puzzle and the plot Pros; 1.A Once a game's key is registered to your account it's your game for life (Who knows maybe even to your great grandkids.) and it can be downloaded and installed via Steam on any computer accessible to the net, Which has gotten a bit more annoying as of late... (SAee Cons 1C.) Cons; 1B. Constant update downloads, must wait for updates to finish before playing the desired game. You think installing a game would be well enough? No you have to let steam decrypt the damn thing before you play it. Try to get Half-Life 2 working via Steam on DIAL-UP! Yah, I'm stilled pissed off at that and it's been since 2004. Basically it sucks a lot on slow Internet connections. 1C. It feels like it's invasive to privacy to me, but some of you might not can as highly about anonymity. Anytime Steam with your account typed in (even if it isn't logged into [password typed and entered]) is brought up you get an email asking you to confirm the accessing computer by adding code from the email, to your Steam account. 1. Overall: You'll Love it, Hate it, or plain tolerate it (Me). Though I will admit it has vastly improved over the last year. I have several games from Steam and several of them came with multiple disks, I have only had to use both included disks to install only one game and that was Shogun 2. 2. Oh did you play your second time threw via the commentator's levels? Also not every problem is solved the same way. Like in that video, I didn't bother riding that lift till I had no where to shoot. Another part: In the back rooms I used computers and a chair to climb into a vent instead of the rocket opening the way. Edit: Feel free to add me, SteamID: Atrox777 I'm not on often though.
