diadem, trouble I see with usenet is lots of ISP's don't include access to it anymore with their internet packages due to the proliferation of kiddy porn. Ya have to pay these days for a usenet service and that would let a lot of folks out of the loop.

I'm planning on having the ISOs up on a decent server before May. I've found two good servers and am looking over how to break up the files. I will have original ISOs and am considering a new installation routine that overlooks the disc space and DirectX bit and will work on a single DVD instead of two CDs.

I had such a hard time locating the Hardwar CDs, I took extra good care of them. I bought them in 1999 just before CD burners came out. When I got a burner, Hardwar was the first thing I copied. I knew I'd never find the game again.
That copying became a good habit as my favorite games are the games of that era that can't be found anymore. Games like FreeSpace, Star Fleet Academy, and the Star Wars original series of games.

Just last year I bought a boxed copy off of Amazon. It made me chuckle when an insert fell out advertising for a brand new game, priced at a whole fifteen bucks (USD).

Yep, I have the originals, plus copies I've burned, plus one brand new game still in the box with the wrap on it. I have a friend who also has a couple of originals still in boxes. I like the fact that the game is old enough I can just burn copies of the discs which I do whenever I get another friend to try out the game. Speed and Greed on Titan! Hammer

I do have the game (F2.01) available on MegaUpload. Check out my site's main page for the links. I carry both CDs, the UIM patches, and the original SR patches released to beta testers.

I just found my original disks and they still work! (I know it's basically freeware now but still). I can even run in on my new dx11 system thanks to all the awesome patches. I just got done visiting Aqua again so I guess I might make a backup set and visit Titan again! I had a dog too. He didn't understand.

I also have a brand new second copy that I purchased off eBay, to which I didn't know who the seller was until he told me his name was Ciaran Gultnieks , so I got hime to sign and autograph the inside of the box for me. That made me laugh at the time, and it made me laugh again when I read this just now. I'm pretty sure it's the only time in my life I've been asked to autograph something. I still have quite a few copies - maybe I'll do that again one day. (Also, just to make you jealous, I'm wearing a Hardwar T-shirt today.)

Did Hardwar have an official T-Shirt release or was it a custom order?
You know Ciaran you could make order a few dozen T-Shirts or so made with your signature on the sleeve or under the (assumptions) Hardwar: The Future is Greedy or Neo-Tiger. Or maybe the Neo is on the back? I'd assume the more die Hards here would pay shipping and handling too...

I would pay for sure, considering I don't pay for anything that is a lot to say... edit: software related I mean, sadly I need to pay some basic stuff you know... like food and fuel
