Great work! The new police moth reminds me of a small Klingon bird of prey with the swept forward wings. I hope there's a day where your extended map becomes a reality.

Yeah the Police Moth I tried to keep to the feel of the game L2000 but modern. Ironically after I posted these up here I found the Hardwar remake project. Im now helping the guys out with some art. So your wish may just happen yet.

I will play the critic. The Light Dogfighter, the detail you put into it looks awesome, however it resembles a Naboo Pod Racer, and it looks like the best place to shoot it would be in the aft section since the Flyer is positioned there, the a shield generator would be big (at least in my imagination) and the armor and the steel or material X (*cough*human*cough*) looks to be thinest there. Since it is a "Light" Fighter that does fit the over all image you'd expect. Another point is that if Moths had a "signature ability" the two engines and their placement would allow for a quick turn, like the Starfurys in Babylon 5. 8/10 The ship shooting the ?Mandalay?, it's design has been done quite often, the Ulysses in Freespace, as well as a similar design in Stargate. L-2000 Vulture is also very nice designed and looks most formidable, it looks like it would have a "scatter pack" missile ability to it, It also reminds me a little bit of the Ulysses in Freespace as well as another fight in Freespace 2. It's hard to criticize the L-2000, in all honesty. 9/10 The Map... I love it. ^^ One thing I'd add about the map though, Everyone remembers the nice little shop by Reservoir to Downtown? That allows you to buy equipment but not fit it? Wouldn't it be great if a shop like that, with unique equipment from each faction Laz, Klamp, Skin, Scrub, Pirates, etc. was in the most remote of the different areas? That you'd only be able to equip when you got "home"? Oh yea... and the areas could happen to be the deepest darkest areas of the pirate controlled areas. And maybe the faction that manufactured it didn't like it in your cargo bay, unless you had really really good relations...

The light fighter does look a little pod racer ish. As for Freespace im not overly familiar with that game. The idea really is a tiny one man craft like a silver y but built for speed at the expence of shields & weaponry. It will fly like a swallow but only have a small pod and 2 weapon slots. Its speed is the key to its survival.
As for the L2000 remake, yes i wanted something that make the crims think twice about peeing off the police. If this thing tells you to pull over for a random breath test: you pull over!

If this thing tells you to pull over for a random breath test: you pull over! That's a great concept for a Moth. Similar to the TIE Fighter in the Star Wars universe. Small, fast, and manuverable at the expense of power and shielding. Always fun to fly a TIE as you are always flying by the seat of your pants. Totally paranoid.

I could build the extended map... heck, I've even got a game engine to drop it into. Maybe I'll do that next time I'm sitting around looking for something to model.
can you send me a higher-rez file for the map? I can probably build the entire thing in under 10,000 tris.

I enjoy sketching at times, but am no where near as talented as you, but do you mind if we submit our own ideas? Maybe you can come up with something new from multiple suggestions. I had a couple of ideas...
