If you upgrade the FireFox browser to 3.6.10, you may get a malware warning when visiting my site. There is *nothing* wrong with the site. There is no malware, etc. The error lies completely with FireFox and they offer no help, explanation, or proof of any problem.
If you use FireFox, I'd recommend turning off the site warnings until they get a patch. They've got sites like Microsoft and Coca-Cola marked as malicious.
Again, there is no malicious code on the site and all of the downloads have been checked for malware.

Strange. When I visit your website now I get a warning from both Firefox 3.6.10 and Internet Explorer 8.0. And both warnings have a link to a "Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for zedo.hardwar.org.uk" webpage. It sounds like Google visited your site over the last 90 days and found something they think is suspicious once on 2010-09-19. It says on the bottom of the page that you can request a review of your site with Google Webmaster Tools.
I have to admit I have mixed feelings about Google. I use it a lot everyday but I do worry a bit about loss of privacy and possible abuse. If this warning is a false positive then they've done a bad thing. If they found something malicious that got past your defenses then they've done a good thing. They certainly should at least offer you a clear explanation and solution.

Noticed you didn't defend Microsalt in your post Jeff. ^^ i.e. microsoft I've had mixed feelings about Microsoft for a lot longer than I've had for Google. And I've been using Firefox and its predecessors since Netscape Navigator 1.0. Both Firefox and Internet Explorer on my computer trigger a warning from Google about Captain Zedo's website. Does that mean Firefox and Internet both have the same bug, or does that mean Google is reporting a false positive? I don't know but I would really like to understand Google's part in this.

I was thinking about this earlier, maybe bored at that time. ^^

I used to love Google before while it was still the dark horse in the search engine wars, back when Gmail was invite only (in Beta), and was still only popular with the "Hackers" community.
But as big as Google is now they have enough power and control in the Search Engine market that they can pretty much Make (Twitter, Buzz, Android) or Break any software they want or are paid too.
Think about it, if certain sites (Microsoft and Cola, Zedo's and other small sites.) used a bit of web coding that was insecure, no matter how insignificantly, but within safe margins, and lets say Apple (or Pepsi or another competitor) wanted their competitions site down for a little while and/or wanted people not to trust their competitors site they could bribe Google to set warning for the main browsers. I.E. and Firefox.
Though I haven't had any warnings from Opera navigating to here. Then again I do experience a bit of slowness at times, might just be my cache instead of Opera blocking something from bugging me.

There really was (is?) a problem with the site. It won't hurt any of your machines. A marketing trojan attacked the server and added a redirect script to all of the index pages including mine. I've been told it has been taken care of and I have re-uploaded my clean index page. Write me if there is a continuing problem.
Most importantly, Google will continue to give warnings for months even though the problem is cleared up. The original warning was legit, though the threat hardly reached the scale of "malware".

Thought something was off when I saw that warning, didn't seem right! So I turned on my anti-virus and trudged on. No d@mn virus is going to stop me from visiting the best Hardwar site on the web!
MisOpian patriotism aside, I think it's wrong fro google to stop people from visiting a site like they did with yours, without consulting the site operator first. To get past the google warning page, I had to copy and paste the URL from the warning and paste it into the address bar! To me, it seems a little out of line, it wasn't even a service I asked for.

I'm glad it was mostly harmless and an easy fix. If you contact Google to request a malware review of your site the warnings should stop in a day or so according to the following link.
