Ah thanx everyone for your kind words. It really encourages me to continue, you have no idea how much it helps!
Since my previous video: -I've worked out a lot of kinks in multiplayer lag, -Started creating the demo map -Added a main menu and settings menu -Added ability to host or join a game -Minor AI tweaks for smoother AI flight -Integrated AI flight into building docking - instead of interpolated movement from before -Added a spawn area where joining players can view the test map and see the action going on outside and then jump in when they're ready to join the fight.
Just letting you know that I'm still here. Took a break, mostly because life got me down - had too much stuff going on.
My plan is to release before the end of the year, on itch.io. I prefer itch as they don't take a bunch of royalties and my game is really not Steam ready at all. The game will be demo Minimum Viable Product(MVP). It has direct connect multiplayer, though you have to port forward 7777 on UDP to get it working, then just send your IP to all your friends.
On the launch day I'd like to get a bunch of us together on Discord to play the first game together!
I'm trying to add analytics to the game so that I can get feedback on what people like/hate. I also want to build in a way for people to leave feedback, maybe just a google form.
Disclaimer: The game is in the very early stages of alpha still, so it looks super ugly and there's tons of gross menus and other UX. The polish will come last, after the main gameplay elements are done.
