It's all about Visual Studio Code now. Every developer I know has been jumping on it for the past 18 months. I don't know anyone who uses the old Visual Studio implementations. Code has recently replaced my primary IDE (JetBrains' RubyMine) on my work's development machine. RM can't compete. Licence-based and quite heavy. Exactly the opposite of Code. I never thought I'd be using a Microsoft IDE to develop software. Whether, it can be used to benefit Hardwar, who knows - we need the C++ source code first. However, that's another story. I have been playing around with making a mini Hardwar game in JavaScript ES6, just as a small tutorial project. However, only when I have free time.
