You could further test the targeting bug by:
1. Cheat mode God Hangar will save you lots of time.
2. Name yourself admin, you'll need the blag permissions.
3 Blag tons of cash and one of each moth.
4. Outfit the moths with various equipment, a weapons check shouldn't be necessary.
5. Hire thugs to go inside of said moths.
6. Order every thug to go to Mass Driver 2. (Go as in land.)
7. Once they are there, order them to buzz Mass Driver 2, target them. (Note: When thugs buzz ("park" outside) target buildings the wont move till they receive a cancel order, and go is not considered a cancel order.

Hopefully I'll get a little time this weekend to investigate things further. Hello,
I've spent a lot of time to translate Hardwar UIM06 into french. Unfortunately the smurph enhancements (my favorites) need to change the hardwarW.exe so all the translation is lost. An also if i use Ouch patcher to translate the Enhanced HardwarW, it doesn't work.
Do you think you could take my HardwarW uim06 translated and integrate the enhancements ? Or make Ouch patcher work on the smurph enhanced hardwarW.exe ?

Someone would have to go through and find the new addresses for all the strings again for my patcher to work with the enhanced edition.

So much work ! But why not ? It's really fun to play in native language in fact. Random moths for pirates is the biggest miss for me.
By the way Ouch, will you upgrade your patcher with the latest fr translation ?

Whatcha all,
Just popped in on a whim and always glad to see Hardwar still going strong, thinking on loading up a copy and taking the old Neo Tiger out for a whirl.
I've seen a few posts with folk wondering about Source code for the enhanced2 mod. Sorry guys there aren't sources for it and never have been. It was all done directly in ASM using the OlyDbg utility. Basically Max's modified UIM6 executable assigns a chunk of memory space for enhanced2, and OlyDbg translates the binary to ASM and allows that ASM to be edited, and saved as a patch. All the enhanced2 stuff was either minor tweaks to the Hardwar.exe made at run time, or diverts strategically inserted into Hardwar.exe to handcrafted ASM routines in enhanced2. If I can remember how I did some of the stuff at some point I may extract the ASM and try to comment it for future reference. No promises though - it's been quite a few years....

I used a editor called Hackman to turn blue repository into my personal moth factory.All I did was take the memory string next to the name header from downtown moths and paste it to the same space in blue repository.It's possible to duplicate ai pilots using this technique.Easier than supplying the ai moth factories as you could direct the production processes for example set produce to newmoth sw to build a swallow then buy moth from the buy new moth menu then reclaim the cash you put out for it by simply clicking the "get cash" button.

I should also add that if you part exchange your old moth at any moth factory the old moth is actually recycled and it's components added to the "buildnewmoth" production processes.

Theory One: A duplicate AI address makes the crashes. Theory TWO: Denacity You could discover record the initial police moths setup, then clone or alter newly spawned ones to have the missing parameters. That said, you (t03) has played with memory more than I have. Man it is hard to believe it has been ten years since we migrated to this forum board. EDIT: I found this too, let me correct that link a bit here, www.petit-fichier.fr/2013/07/15/transfraise/I think this makes UIM06 the French Version, but going from the above though, this is not Enhanced compatible. |
