The site did have an unauthorized ad on it, but it hardly rose to the title "malware". The site has been fixed for over a week, but don't expect Google to unblock it until I pay them a fee. I'm not paying. Just bypass the blockade and you can read more on my main page.
Note that redirecting your site to their bogus "warning" is far more malicious than anything else you are apt to find by browsing the web.

It seems almost like extortion by Google. They provide a "free" warning service and then charge you to remove the warning in a timely manner after you fix the problem. Doesn't quite fit their corporate philosophy of "You can make money without doing evil."

Doesn't quite fit their corporate philosophy of "You can make money without doing evil." It *is* extortion and some governments have taken action. In the US, Google has to provide a "click thru" link that allows you to visit the site anyway. In some countries, they block a site altogether.

Ah, whatever happened to the good old version of extortion, "Give us protection money and we want have to watch when your store catches fire." Was much easier for the authorities to see that than the virtual kind. (Whether they did help or not...)

Was much easier for the authorities to see that than the virtual kind. (Whether they did help or not...) Could you imagine some Google pansy trying a strong-arm shake down? Bwaahaahaa. They need to stay hidden behind their consoles. Of course, that didn't help them in China where their employees were being murdered to the point no one would work for them and they shut their office down.
