Hi All,
Just found my old Hardwar disks in a box. managed to get it working.
That said i can't get my HOTAS system to be recognized. It finds it to select as a controller in HardMan but it doesn't work in game. Niether the throttle or the Joystick.
Any ideas? managed to get out of the hangar using the mouse but the joystick just goes nose dowm and turn right all the time. Fine in all other games. Tried it on it's own and whilst a profile is running in T.A.R.G.E.T.
Any help will be appreciated.

I had problems with Win 10, Hardwar, and a) a Thrustmaster joystick and then b) an Xbox control. Eventually I gave up and just started using the keyboard. A bit of an adjustment at first, but it did make giving commands to thugs a lot easier and led to me exploring that part of the game. If anyone has a good solution, I'd love to hear it as well.

Hi All.
Fixed it. Apparently my rudder pedals (MFG crosswind) were overriding the selected controller even though they weren't selected. So unplugged them and all working fine.

I'll just mention this here since someone searching for similar controller issues will probably bring this post up. But it seems like hardman passes the devices number over to Hardwar when launching instead of it's name or some other ID tag. However it seems like Hardwar sometimes sees the devices in a different order.
So if you have a gamepad and a joystick plugged in and the joystick shows up as device 2 in hardman. It will then tell Hardwar to use device 2 but device 2 may show up as the gamepad to Hardwar.
So it's best to only have the controller plugged in that you want to use when playing Hardwar. But if it's something that's a pain to set up and take down like a steering wheel or something, then just try selecting a different controller even if it's not the one you want to use it might be the right one in game.
Oh, and if I recall, the game still uses the button binds for the selected controller in hardman though so don't forget to re-set up the button binds.

I have a ThrustMaster HOTAS X but not the Warthog HOTAS. My HOTAS X works perfectly fine in any version of Hardwar and while using Win 7. I'm not sure if the Warthog will work with Hardwar, though, since it's a more complicated HOTAS combo peripheral designed to work with newer games.
