I've updated the spreadsheet and added the newly found strings to it as well as restructuring sheet 2 and 3 for easy copy and paste to the new translation tab. sites.google.com/site/ouchsdownloads/home/downloads/HWFR.zipAnd Duncan if your going to be looking at the python scripts again, could you add \r and \n for the 0D and 0A bytes the script comes across? I would like to get the patcher's defaults to output an exact byte-for-byte copy of the original file.

Hello Duncan, could you extract the Hardman.exe as well, it is the launcher, to translate the launcher I need to translate this exe too. Thx.

There are a lot of strings that have absolutely no interest... And a lot missed by the script extractor, to retrieve by hand.
So I'm working string by string from the beginning and the file is clear and far lighter. No need to patch strings that we do not need.
Wait for my translation to be complete and then you'll have a bright spread sheet fully automated to feed the Patcher, to translate in Spanish. I'll write a tutorial to use the wonderful Ouch's Patcher that does the job perfectly as soon as you understand how it works.
Still a lot to do but it becomes really awesome.

Apologies, its maybe not the script but me that removed strings that are in need of translation - I manually trimmed the list down to a managable number and was likely a bit to rigorous. Does it actually work now - getting the translation into the game? I'm focussing now on a solution to increase the number of characters that you could use to make the translation - but the odds that it will work are still slim. Need to experiment a bit. I'll start on hardman in a couple of days - will the patcher handle hardman?

Yes Duncan, great thanks to you for all that. I have used your script to extract all once againe and then deleted carefully... Then I've extracted into my spread sheet only the strings that makes sens to translate and I'm quite finished. The result is wonderful, just all the messages to add and everything will be ok ! It is an enourmous ammount of work, it will be a lot easier for Riedquat.

The translation is nearly finished, the gameplay is enhanced to my point in my native language. I'm making a translation tutorial for you guys and I'll put there my spread sheet and all the instructions. My spread sheet needs againe a little tuning to be perfect so I'll replace it as soon all is ok. I hope numerous people will translate in their language... @+

Sorry guys, I've been really busy this week.
I'll get your translations updated when I can sushi. Maybe this weekend I'll get time to do it.
I'll add support for hardman.exe It really wouldn't be that hard. (just reusing the same code that writes hardwarw.exe really) I'll add tab for it on the translations tab, but will be patched at the same time as hardwarw.exe with the "patch game" button. So it will still just be a case of select the language and push the button for the end user.

I have a strange problem !
My translation works fine. Everything is in french except the batiments and the pilotes...
When I try to patch for exemple "Trade Central" with the french "ComptoirCentral" nothing occures. In the patcher I write : 0x00*16 Comptoir DwnTwn 0x0DA620 0x0DA620-15 0x00*16 Comptoir DwnTwn 0x0DA630 0x0DA630-15 0x00*16 Comptoir DwnTwn 0x0DA654 0x0DA654-15 0x00*16 Comptoir DwnTwn 0x0DA678 0x0DA678-15 0x00*16 Comptoir DwnTwn 0x0DA69C 0x0DA69C-15 0x00*16 Comptoir DwnTwn 0x0E5580 0x0E5580-15
It doesnt work with any batiment !!! Why
