So after days of trying unsuccessfully to set up a LAN of HardWar (stupid DirectPlay Windows 7 problems, DPLAY.DLL didn't work) I tried to connect to Hammer's and IT WORKS I am connected right now. I am so glad this server's still up! I'm currently spreading the message of Greed to all prospective flyers who will listen. Got a bunch of people who might be joining me from the same IP so don't be alarmed if you see multiple connections from my IP, I'm currently testing multi-account play from my laptop and PC. Solarix out!

You are lucky. I'm not connected for the moment... It still doesn't work for me ! I still have this error message each time I try to connect : "An error occured while initializing the direct play connection. can't set up link. Cause : invalid parameters" I've opened ports, allowed Hardwar and HardwarW in Vista firewall but still this message... and too boared to look forward for the moment. Maybe you have the solution Lordsolarix

I do have a potential solution! Are you running it in Compatibility Mode? Don't run HardWarW.exe in Compatibility Mode. Run both of them without any compatibility stuff whatsoever and they should connect fine to Hammer's.
I had the same exact error when I tried to run in Windows 98 Compatibility Mode.
