Hello,
I've juste reinstalled the game thanks to the u204 patch.
I had to use FAT to make it work on the 2gb partition i've made especially for it. NTFS doesn't fit.
Is it possible to use my CDs to translate the game into french. That should be useful for my daughter (10 years old) that is not already familiar with english to play alone that game.
I've tried to install from the cd's and apply the patch but all was in english. I've tried to install the demo patched and then add in the directory all the content of the cds but only the videos were in french...
If you have an idea it could probabely help many french-speaking players and probabely all other languages players as well.
Thank you. @+ Raphaël

Isn't there a french release of the game, I thought flap mentioned that he had the game in several languages including french. I have a german version.
edit ah, you have the game in french but the patch is english. most of the text is in the exe that is replaced by the patch, probably not so easy to change, also not impossible

Can you up load a copy of your French copy of HardwarW.exe and hardim.res(If you can find this one.) please?
<Rant>This just reconfirms what I have been thinking, game companies really should make a universal format for in-game text, that could be used to translate the game. I can think of 2 games right off I'd love to be able to play. Though I don't speak or read "Simplified" Chinese ,I managed to find a fan translated copy of one, and a Japanese copy of the other. :\ Not Hardwar this was a rant.</Rant>

Out of good luck, I have a copy of F2.0 in French. I can make ISOs and put them up with the others by the end of the week. Email me a reminder if you don't see them up and linked on my main page by Wednesday.
I don't know of any translating software that would help, but I'm sure there's something out there.

Well I would but if I tried to learn both Chinese and Japanese i think my head would explode. Did you know that it 1600+ characters (verses our 26 ABC. etc) are what define the vocabulary of your average junior high schooler in Japan?
In my defense... I learned how to read the Dadera in the Elderscrolls series. I have more trouble with pictographs.

Where to upload those files ? I have found HardwareW.exe Mediafire or Megaupload or I can wait for Zedo's isos. The idea is a long shot any way.

The blocking page you are presented should offer you a link to pass into the site anyway. You can always just turn off the site warnings in your browser altogether. I've noticed that they never block really malicious sites that tag you with everything they can cram on your box - porn, drug sales, etc. But, they block all sorts of sites that don't have any problems at all and just don't want to pay them their undeserved tribute. Take back your box and turn off Google warnings. You can get similar protection using Yahoo! or Google's search engines. Their results show the warnings whether or not you are running their phishing sites software. I've found my French Hardwar and will have it copied to ISOs tonight and up sometime tomorrow. I will announce the upload both here and on my site.

Hello Captain,
All is ok now. I've installed Opera and i'm running Ask search. I'm able to connect on the main site. When the isos are download : Is it necessaire to patch them with u204 ? Can i run the isos with daemon tool instead of burning them ?

Here are the links: Hardwar F2.0 (French) disc 1 - www.megaupload.com/?d=9YMBNH0AHardwar F2.0 (French) disc 2 - www.megaupload.com/?d=A9ONVNHGPatching will not effect the language and might be necessary to get the video to work. I'd recommend trying it unpatched first. You should be able to run the game from any virtual drive. If there are problems with a virtual drive, I recommend just burning a couple of CDs.
