Hello I'm Back ... With a new laptop... My old one's video card is dead... So installing Hardwar on Seven makes no pb but I have a texture issue... The sky is bugged !!! Sorry if that question have already been answered but I can't find it in the search window... I've tried all the display resolutions, all the compatibility modes, enabeling/disabeling all the mipmap and other 24/32 options... Nothing seems to correct it... My video card is a nvidia GT 555M Dx11, maybe some components are missing Is there something I can do ?

Directx 9c doesn't fix this !!!
How to install an earlier version ?
Maybe i need to activate/inactivate some 3d parameter in the nvidia control pannel ?

It sounds like you've tried everything. Is it off no matter which settng you use for background (red or tan) and if you turn off clouds? I had a machine that used to render the clouds a green funk.

Unfortunately, even all options disabled the sky remain crappy... I'll try to tweak the nvidia settings...

I would have suggested trying to hook it up to an external monitor, but I can see that is a screen cap so it is probably a hardware or software issue.
By compatibility modes does that mean you have tried running the game in "640x400 screen resolution" from properties?
Have you also tried running the game windowed?
Lastly, you likely have tried this step, have you updated the graphics drivers?
I almost think that I had something similar happen to me once long ago, but I'm not sure, have you tried to reinstall Hardwar, including deleting all of the files left in the Hardwar folder?
Remember Hardwar's graphics requirements are extensive not every graphic card... Sorry I just had to throw this, insensitive, joke in...

Hello,
Thx for all these advices... I've tried everything but it still doesn't work.
It works ok without Uim06 and with the softwar rendering... But the quality is really poor ! If only I could use Uim06 in softwar rendering mode I'm sure it could work on my laptop !
I'm still searching for a solution so if someone have an idea...

Hello, maybe Hardwar could work fine under Linux on this laptop ? my previous trials of Linux were not very fun !!! Have you already experienced this option ? I have configured Hardwar under Linux once. I used Ubuntu 10 and a version of WINE especially optimized for Ubuntu 10. Hardwar was installed under the emulator. It worked well with the exception of some lag. I was on an older desktop with only 500MB RAM. It was a stretch to get Ubuntu 10 to work on that machine, much less the emulator and Hardwar. I think if I had had more RAM, it would have run smoothly. The video processor, by the way, was the board's native Intel video.

Thank you for this answer. I'm currently downloading Virtualbox. I hope that I can install Vista or XP on the virtual box so the old Direct x drivers maybe work... If neither XP nor Vista runs Hardwar on my laptop, maybe Linux will ? I'll tell you soon

If neither XP nor Vista runs Hardwar on my laptop, maybe Linux will ? I'll tell you soon Here's where you can find out about your hardware's Linux compatibility and even download Linux drivers: www.linux-drivers.org/It really does pay to check first. As a rule Linux has problems with networking hardware that is plug 'n play under Windows. This has been reduced considerably now that most networks connect via Ethernet, USB, or are wireless.

Hello Virtual box doesn't launch Hardwar under XP I'll try Vista cause I read the D3D drivers are better under vista and 7 emulations but I doubt it will work... Anyway, Hardwar 1.2 works fine on my laptop but it is ugly, no translation available (after all this long translation work) and the game play misses the improvements of the Uim06. Unfortunately I don't know how to implement the sky texture missing for my graphic card... In fact ther is no sky at all. I can see the background when I launch the game.... I'll put a video soon. If I just could launch Uim06 with the 1.2 sky texture that should work Thanks for the link Captain, I can't find my Medion Akoya MD98770 in the lists... Anyway Linux will probably not do better on Virtual Box than Windows in case of an hardware issue, installing it on a dual boot looks really boring and I really did not like this OS until now. Nglide doesn't launch Hardwar at all even after choosing "secondary display" in the display config tab. So... I hope someone will have an idea, a driver, a tweaking trick maybe...

Hey some news... My sky is back, In the Nvidia pannel I've forced the graphic card instead of the integrated chipset... Now the pb is that my hub is twinkling and all the screens before entering the game including the introduction video. So all the hud functions are twinkling in game... It's a bit disappointing but it is an improvement to me Maybe I can fix those graphic issues.

You should disable your integrated chip in the bios. Having 2 graphics chips from 2 different manufactures running will cause nothing but problems.

Thank you Ouch, I don't have the option in my bios but in the Nvidia control pannel I can choose which graphic card to use. So I disabled the Intel Chipset and forced the Nvidia graphic card for Hardwar (ther were no difference by forcing the graphic card for all applications but it is a laptop so i'm afraid of noise and tempeture)... and disabled the vertical sync (which do not seems to affect anything). And... When Windowed, all works fine, no more twinkling of the HUD functions or the Navigations or menus etc, the sky is ok, everything perfect... Yahouuuu When full screen, the sky is OK but the HUD and menu still twinkle. I don't really understand why my sky texture is back and why I have this twinkling instead... Before tuning the nvidia control panel I had no sky at all even in window mode but no twinkling... Anyway I'm happy to have Hardwar back. Maybe I'll find the way to play the game full screen without this twinkling. I have to understand what occurs between the windowed mode and full screen mode.

So to summerise what did fix this issu for me... My config : Laptop Medion MD98770 Windows 7 with nvidia Geoforce GT 555M The issue : Under UIM06 the sky texture was not supported The solution : 1. Update direct x here : www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/download/details.aspx?id=352. In nvidia control pannel force the graphic card for Hardwar (disabeling vertical sync does nothing) With that my sky is back but now the HUD, navigation menu etc... are twinkeling so 3. In the Hardwar Launcher, enable the windowed mode... It is not perfect cause fullscreen game are unavailable but it works Thanks for all the precious advices around. Hope this will help. Bye
