OK I decided to put my collection of patches and mods ive collected on a file hosting site. I hope the various people who produced the various items dont mind. Reason for this is three fold 1) To help all players, newbies and veterans have access to the various files in one easy location. 2.) To help keep hardwar alive. 3) Ease of use. I call it my All in one Hardwar kit. It includes: Hardluck, Hardnerves, Hardwar Moth Viewer Hardwar E Opt Hardwar Orders Enhanced UIM06 Base file 3 Different versions of Smurphs Enhanced files. Wez Desert Moon skin. Wez Snow Moon Skin. www.mediafire.com/?co0h64kjqq9cte1 No password needed. Any issues, problems or complaints let me know i will sort it out as soon as i can.  Thanks to all the modders and fans hard work that went on into all these files, vastly improve an already great game! Most mods have readmes. I will also update the file over time. |

Basically in the Hardwar game there is a loud droning noise in a hangar which drives some people nuts, if you copy and paste the wav file over to to the Hardwar folder and just drop it there, it cancells out the annoying droning.

Can't believe there is people playing with the original sound... Hey, I like that sound! It gives Hardwar a sense of annoying reality. Now, of course, if we could put our version of "muzak" in there... ;D |

I've tried this a long time ago. But it never worked. The annoying noise is still there! I can not imagine how that will work if you just grabs one .wav-file in the Hardwar-Folder. Where should know Hardwar, which it must handle with the file? Today I tried it again, but without effect. I get the annoying noise simply not go away. (Version: UIM.06 BPP-32 playing) |

WOW, that's all I can say is just, WOW! I never dreamed there would still be anyone playing HardWar. I recently moved and found my copy of HardWar. I loved playing it and thought I would resurrect it and try playing it again. I am glad to find an active community still playing. Seems so many of the games I used to enjoy, have lost their appeal and no one plays them any more.
I have loaded up the game and was immediately blown away by the annoying screeching and sawing sounds in the hangers. I remembered there was a file to stop that and that's how I ended up here. So, Hello HardWar Diehards, LOL
